Glaubersalt 100g
Glauber's salt (sodium sulphate decahydrate) can be used as an enema additive for constipation and severe constipation. To perform an intestinal irrigation with Glauber's salt, fill the liquid container with lukewarm tap water (250 ml) and add Glauber's salt (2 teaspoons). Glauber's salt is a white crystalline powder that dissolves easily in water. The hyperosmolar Glauber's salt solution causes fluid to flow from the body into the bowel. The resulting filling and increase in pressure in the rectum stimulates bowel movements and causes the stool to soften and thin.
